What is the ISIC virtual card?
The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is the only internationally recognised proof of full-time student status. The card shows to all displayed, that you, the cardholder are a full-time student, as well as enabling you access to thousands of discounts throughout both New Zealand and Australia, as well as over 150,000 discounts around the world.

We have recently transitioned the majority of cards issued in New Zealand (ISIC, IYTC & ITIC) to the virtual option. The virtual card can be used anywhere the plastic card is accepted - the airport, restaurants, attractions etc. The app is your one stop shop for finding discounts, storing your favourite discounts and accessing your card!

To access the virtual card you simply need to download the ISIC app through the App Store or Google Play. You can then log in using your name and your ISIC serial number with the letters (e.g. S064001123456X). You will be emailed your serial number once your card application has been approved. Further information on the app can be found here - https://www.isiccard.co.nz/isic-app/

Why should I get an ISIC card?
- Wherever you go you’ll be able to prove your full-time student status.
- Access to student services and facilities wherever you are.
- You’ll have 150,000 ISIC discounts at your feet, with that number growing everyday.

I've applied for my virtual card online, what next?
Once you've applied for your virtual card online, you should receive a confirmation email with your order details. We will then process and approve your application (or contact you via email if we have any questions or need any further information). Once your application has been approved you will receive another email which has your card details. You can then 'sign up' on the ISIC App or the ISIC Website and be sure to sign up to our email newsletter and social channels to stay up to date with the latest offers.
What discounts do I get with my card?
Where do we even begin? From exclusive fares and travel deals with STA Travel for your winter escape to Europe’s summer bliss, to up to 20% off an eclectic mix of over 1,700 restaurants, cafes and takeaway joints in New Zealand and across the ditch in Australia, this is only just the beginning of the benefits!

How long does it take to approve a virtual card application?
Online orders are processed daily Monday-Friday. If your application is full and complete and you meet the eligibility requirements you should receive your ISIC serial number and be able to start using your virtual card within 2-3 business days of placing your order. If you do not receive an email from ISIC within this time, please email info@isiccard.co.nz
